Zoho CRM vs Pipedrive for WhatsApp Pricing and Limits
Zoho CRM supports WhatsApp on every paid edition from $14 per user a month. Pipedrive puts it on the $39 Growth plan and still calls it a beta. Here is what each costs a US team with Meta's fee included, and which one to buy.

The short answer: for WhatsApp, Zoho CRM is the cheaper and more available choice, and Pipedrive is the better fit if your team already sells from a visual pipeline and can wait for a beta. Zoho supports WhatsApp on its trial and every paid edition, starting at $14 per user a month billed annually. Pipedrive puts WhatsApp on its Growth plan, listed at $39 per seat a month billed annually, and its help center still calls the integration a beta that is "not available to all customers yet."
Neither vendor publishes a WhatsApp fee of its own on top of Meta's message charges. The difference is how you pay Meta: Zoho draws message charges from prepaid credits you top up inside Zoho, while Pipedrive's documentation points you straight to Meta's per message billing on your own WhatsApp Business Account. Everything below comes from Zoho's and Pipedrive's own pricing data and help articles.

Zoho's prices come from the pricing data behind its own US pricing page. Pipedrive's Growth price is the figure its pricing page lists; its help center articles on the WhatsApp integration and its setup were both updated in September 2026.
What each CRM costs once WhatsApp is switched on
Meta's fee is the same behind both CRMs: $0.0034 for a US utility or authentication template. So the gap between Zoho and Pipedrive is almost entirely the seat price, and it widens with headcount. Here is the monthly total on annual billing, Meta's fee for US utility messages included.
| Team and volume | Meta fee | Zoho CRM Standard | Zoho CRM Professional | Pipedrive Growth |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 users, 2,000 messages | $6.80 | $48.80 | $75.80 | $123.80 |
| 10 users, 10,000 messages | $34 | $174 | $264 | $424 |
| 25 users, 25,000 messages | $85 | $435 | $660 | $1,060 |
On monthly billing the gap holds: Zoho Standard goes to $20 a seat and Pipedrive Growth to $49. A 10 person team pays $234 a month on Zoho against $524 on Pipedrive, with the same $34 going to Meta in both cases.
One caveat on Zoho. Its CRM help article does not print a dollar figure for its credits, and it still describes billing per conversation, a model Meta replaced with per message pricing on July 1, 2025. Zoho's Desk help, which uses the same credit system, prices a credit at $2 plus a 3 percent value-added fee. Before you sign, ask Zoho which credit rate applies to your CRM account so the Meta line in your budget is accurate.
Zoho CRM WhatsApp in practice
To connect, Zoho asks for a Facebook Business Manager account, a verified business, a WhatsApp Business Account and a registered phone number. Once it is live, messages sit on the CRM record, and you buy credits so that charges are "automatically deducted" from the balance. You can set auto-recharge with a minimum balance and a top-up amount, which is worth doing on day one: a campaign that runs the balance dry stops sending.
The strength is coverage. Because WhatsApp works on Standard, a five person team does not have to jump to an expensive tier to get the channel, and anyone already on Zoho Books, Desk or Campaigns stays in one account. Our Zoho WhatsApp integration page walks through what each Zoho app does with WhatsApp.
Pipedrive WhatsApp in practice
Pipedrive's integration is built for the way its customers already work. Incoming chats land in the Sales Inbox and on deal and contact views, and Pipedrive links each chat to the person automatically, then to their open deal, lead or project. Workflow automations can start conversations, which suits follow-ups after a stage change.
The limits are worth reading closely. Each user can hold one WhatsApp number at a time. Coexistence, which keeps a number running in the WhatsApp Business app as well, is limited to one number per WhatsApp Business Account. And the beta label is real: if you do not see WhatsApp under Tools and apps, Pipedrive's own instruction is to switch it on from the beta program page, and it may not be available to you yet. If WhatsApp is the reason you are buying, confirm access during the trial, before the contract. We compare Pipedrive with HubSpot in HubSpot vs Pipedrive for WhatsApp.
What either CRM can send to US customers
Meta has not delivered marketing templates to US phone numbers since April 1, 2025. A promotional template sent to a +1 number from Zoho or Pipedrive fails with error 131049, exactly as it would from any other platform. A US program on either CRM is built from utility templates (quote expiries, demo confirmations, renewal and order updates), authentication codes, and replies inside the 24-hour window.
That window is no longer free past a point. Since October 1, 2026, Meta bills service replies beyond 1,000 per business number each month at the utility rate. For a sales team that mostly replies to inbound leads, that is still a small line, but it belongs in the budget.
Which one should a US team buy
Choose Zoho CRM if price and certainty matter most. WhatsApp is generally available, it works on the cheapest paid edition, and at 10 seats you save about $250 a month against Pipedrive Growth. It is also the better pick if your sales process leans on email as much as chat; when the first touch still goes out by email, a tool that writes personalized cold email sequences pairs well with either CRM, and WhatsApp takes over once the prospect replies.
Choose Pipedrive if your reps live in the pipeline view and you want each chat attached to the deal without setup work. Accept that you are buying a beta, and check it is switched on for your account first.
Choose neither for volume. Both CRMs are built around one-to-one conversations. If you need to send a reminder or update to 5,000 opted-in contacts at once, the usual setup is to keep the CRM for chats and send bulk templates from a dedicated campaign tool on a second number, so campaign volume never touches the quality rating of the number your reps use. Our best WhatsApp CRM comparison prices four more CRMs side by side, including HubSpot, Kommo and Salesforce.
That bulk job is what WaBulkSend does. You upload a CSV or Excel export from Zoho or Pipedrive, map columns to template variables, and send, schedule or repeat the campaign, with delivery, read and reply status per recipient and signed webhooks to carry results back to the CRM. Plans are $49, $99 or $299 a month by message volume with no per seat charge, and Meta bills its fee to your own account without markup. The Pipedrive WhatsApp integration page shows how results flow back into deals.
Questions buyers ask before choosing
Is Zoho better than Pipedrive for WhatsApp?
For most small US teams, yes. Zoho CRM supports WhatsApp on its trial and every paid edition from $14 per user a month billed annually, and the integration is generally available. Pipedrive needs the $39 Growth plan and still labels its WhatsApp integration a beta that is not available to all customers yet.
Does Pipedrive integrate with WhatsApp?
Yes, natively, on Growth and higher plans. Chats appear in the Sales Inbox and on deal and contact views and link to the person and their open deal automatically. The integration is in beta; if it does not appear under Tools and apps, Pipedrive says to switch it on from its beta program page.
Does Zoho CRM integrate with WhatsApp?
Yes, on the trial and all paid editions. You need a verified business in Facebook Business Manager, a WhatsApp Business Account and a registered number. Message charges are paid from prepaid credits inside Zoho, with optional auto-recharge, and Meta's per message rate applies underneath.
Which is cheaper, Zoho or Pipedrive?
Zoho. Its Standard edition is $14 per user a month billed annually against $39 for Pipedrive Growth, the cheapest Pipedrive plan with WhatsApp. For 10 users sending 10,000 US utility messages, that is about $174 a month on Zoho and $424 on Pipedrive, Meta's $34 included in both.
