HubSpot vs Pipedrive for WhatsApp Pricing and Features
Pipedrive puts WhatsApp on its Growth plan with no Pipedrive fee per message, but it is still in beta. HubSpot needs a Professional hub, caps WhatsApp at 1,000 messages a month and charges $70 per extra 1,000. Here is which one fits a US sales team.

The short answer: for WhatsApp, Pipedrive is the cheaper buy for a small or mid-size US sales team, and HubSpot is the safer one for a team that also runs marketing and support on WhatsApp. Pipedrive puts WhatsApp on its Growth plan, listed at $39 a seat a month billed annually, and its help center mentions no Pipedrive fee per message, only Meta's. HubSpot needs Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional, caps WhatsApp at 1,000 messages a month across the whole portal, and sells more at $70 per extra 1,000.
There is a catch on each side. Pipedrive's WhatsApp integration is still a beta feature that, in Pipedrive's words, is "not available to all customers yet". HubSpot's is generally available but priced for conversations, not volume. And on both, Meta has not delivered marketing templates to US numbers since April 1, 2025, so a US program runs on follow-ups, reminders, account updates and replies, not promotions.
HubSpot vs Pipedrive WhatsApp pricing side by side
Every row below comes from the vendors' own material: HubSpot's Products and Services Catalog, its pricing pages and its knowledge base article on connecting WhatsApp, and Pipedrive's two help center articles on the WhatsApp integration (updated September 3 and September 13, 2026). Pipedrive's Growth price is the US list price.
| HubSpot | Pipedrive | |
|---|---|---|
| Plan you need | Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise. Sales Hub alone does not unlock it | Growth or higher |
| Entry price with WhatsApp | Marketing Hub Pro from $800 a month with 3 core seats, or Service Hub Pro at $90 to $100 per seat a month | Growth at $39 per seat a month billed annually, $49 month to month |
| One-time onboarding | Required: $3,000 (Marketing Pro) or $1,500 (Service Pro) | None |
| Messages included | Up to 1,000 a month, shared by every connected WhatsApp account | No allowance or cap mentioned in Pipedrive's docs |
| Vendor fee above the allowance | $70 a month per extra 1,000 messages, no rollover | None documented |
| Meta's fee per message | Charged on top on both, by template category and country. US utility and authentication $0.0034 | |
| Status | Generally available | Beta, switched on through Pipedrive's Beta program |
The pricing difference is not subtle. A five-rep team that sends 3,000 WhatsApp messages a month pays Pipedrive $195 a month for five Growth seats plus about $10.20 to Meta. The same team on HubSpot Service Hub Pro pays $450 for five seats, $140 for two limit packs and the same $10.20 to Meta, plus a $1,500 onboarding fee in the first year. The HubSpot math, pack by pack, is on our HubSpot WhatsApp pricing page, with a cost check you can run on your own volume.
Is HubSpot or Pipedrive better for WhatsApp?
Pipedrive is better for a sales team that wants WhatsApp on the deal and nothing else, because it costs less, has no message cap and links chats to deals automatically. HubSpot is better when marketing and support will use WhatsApp too, because its channel is generally available, sits in a shared inbox, and can be driven by marketing workflows.
Most buyers asking this are really choosing a CRM, with WhatsApp as one requirement. If WhatsApp is a large part of how you sell, weight the beta status heavily: a beta feature can change scope or pricing with little notice. If WhatsApp is a side channel next to email and calls, Pipedrive's price advantage tends to win, and plenty of outbound teams pair it with AI cold calling that books the first meeting before WhatsApp takes over the follow-up.
How each CRM handles WhatsApp conversations
Both connect your own WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's signup flow, so neither one is a QR-code hack that puts your number at risk. The day-to-day differs.
Pipedrive puts WhatsApp in the Sales Inbox and on deal and contact detail views. When a message arrives, Pipedrive matches the phone number to a person, then looks for their most recent open deal, their latest lead or an open project, and links the chat there. Admins assign numbers to users, and each user can only send from one WhatsApp number at a time. Templates are created inside Pipedrive and go to Meta for approval. A workflow automation can start a conversation, which is how teams send a template when a deal hits a stage.
HubSpot treats WhatsApp as a channel in its conversations inbox, next to email, chat and Facebook Messenger. Chats log on the contact record, workflows can send WhatsApp templates, and reporting rolls WhatsApp into the same dashboards as other channels. One WhatsApp Business Account can hold up to 25 numbers, but every number draws from the same 1,000 message monthly limit.
| Feature | HubSpot | Pipedrive |
|---|---|---|
| Where chats live | Conversations inbox and contact record | Sales Inbox, deal and contact detail views |
| Automatic linking | To the contact | To the person, then their open deal, lead or project |
| Coexistence with the WhatsApp Business app | Supported | Supported, one number per WABA |
| Chat history on connect | Not imported, only new messages sync | Up to 180 days of text and 14 days of media on coexistence accounts |
| Accounts and numbers | Up to 25 numbers per WABA | Up to 50 connected WABAs |
| Automation | Marketing and service workflows send templates | Workflow automations can start conversations |
| Bulk send to a list | Through workflow enrollment, inside the 1,000 limit | No broadcast feature documented |
The chat history row matters more than it looks. If your reps already sell on the WhatsApp Business app, Pipedrive's coexistence import brings six months of conversations onto the record on day one. HubSpot starts the record fresh.
How much does WhatsApp cost in Pipedrive?
Pipedrive's help center does not list a Pipedrive charge for WhatsApp messages. It says Meta "charges businesses for using the WhatsApp business platform", per message delivered, with the price set by the message category (marketing, utility, authentication or service) and the recipient's market. So the cost is your Growth seats plus Meta's fee. For a US utility template that fee is $0.0034, so 2,000 order or appointment updates cost $6.80.
Replies are no longer free in every case. Since October 1, 2026, Meta bills service replies inside the 24-hour window after the first 1,000 per business number each month, at the utility rate. That charge applies on Pipedrive, HubSpot and every other platform alike, because Meta bills it to your WhatsApp Business Account. Our WhatsApp Business API pricing page has Meta's rates for other countries.
How much does WhatsApp cost in HubSpot?
The first 1,000 messages a month are included with a Professional or Enterprise Marketing Hub or Service Hub. Each extra 1,000 is a WhatsApp Message Limit Increase at $70 a month, which works out to 7 cents a message, about 20 times Meta's US utility fee. HubSpot switched its unit from conversations to messages on July 1, 2025 and kept the same 1,000 units and the same $70 price, so a busy sequence now uses the allowance faster than it did.
Enterprise does not raise the allowance; HubSpot's catalog lists the same 1,000 messages a month on both Professional and Enterprise. HubSpot does not count free entry point conversations that start from a click-to-WhatsApp ad.
Which CRM costs less for a US sales team?
| Team and volume | Pipedrive Growth, annual | HubSpot Service Hub Pro |
|---|---|---|
| 3 reps, 1,000 messages | $117 seats plus $3.40 Meta | $270 seats plus $3.40 Meta, $1,500 onboarding |
| 5 reps, 3,000 messages | $195 seats plus $10.20 Meta | $450 seats, $140 packs, $10.20 Meta, $1,500 onboarding |
| 10 reps, 10,000 messages | $390 seats plus $34 Meta | $900 seats, $630 packs, $34 Meta, $1,500 onboarding |
HubSpot seat prices use the lowest published Service Hub Professional rate, $90 per seat. Neither column includes add-ons you might already pay for. If you are already on a HubSpot Professional hub for marketing, the only new WhatsApp cost is the limit packs, and at 1,000 messages or fewer that is zero.
What if you need to message a whole list?
Neither CRM is built for it. Pipedrive documents no broadcast feature, and HubSpot's workflow sends burn the shared allowance at $70 per 1,000 once they pass it. Teams on either CRM usually export the segment and send bulk reminders or updates from a dedicated campaign tool on a second number, so campaign volume never touches the CRM number's quality rating or limit.
That is the job WaBulkSend does. You upload a CSV or Excel export, map columns to template variables, and send, schedule or repeat the campaign, with delivery, read and reply status per recipient and signed webhooks to carry results back to the CRM. Plans are $49, $99 or $299 a month by message volume, with no contact limit on paid plans, and Meta's fee is billed to your own account without markup. Setup notes for each CRM are on our Pipedrive WhatsApp integration and HubSpot WhatsApp integration pages, and if Zoho is also on your shortlist, see Zoho vs HubSpot for WhatsApp.
Questions buyers ask before choosing
Does Pipedrive have a native WhatsApp integration?
Yes. Pipedrive built a first-party WhatsApp integration that connects your WhatsApp Business Account through Meta. It is available on the Growth plan and above, still in beta, and not yet on every account; if you do not see it under Tools and apps, Pipedrive says to switch it on from the Beta program page.
Does HubSpot charge extra for WhatsApp?
Only above 1,000 messages a month. WhatsApp is included with Marketing Hub and Service Hub Professional and Enterprise, and HubSpot sells extra capacity as a WhatsApp Message Limit Increase at $70 a month per 1,000 messages. Meta's own per message fee is charged on top in every case.
Can I use the same WhatsApp number in the app and the CRM?
Yes, on both, through Meta's coexistence feature. Pipedrive limits coexistence accounts to one phone number per WhatsApp Business Account and imports up to 180 days of chat history when you connect. HubSpot links to its coexistence guide and syncs only new messages.
Which is better for WhatsApp marketing in the US?
Neither can send promotions that arrive. Meta has not delivered marketing templates to US numbers since April 1, 2025, and the send fails with error 131049 on every platform. US WhatsApp programs run on utility templates such as reminders and account updates, authentication codes and replies. See our pricing page for what those sends cost on a flat plan.
