Wati Pricing: Wati WhatsApp Pricing, Plans and the Real Cost per Message

The plan price is the small number. The one that decides a US bill sits in a rate card Wati links from a tooltip, and it charges 80% more than Meta for every utility message you send.

Plan prices come from the price list Wati's own pricing page loads for a US visitor, and message rates from Wati's US dollar rate cards, all checked September 10, 2026.

Wati monthly bill calculator

US dollars
Plan, per month $119.00
Users and numbers $0.00
Messages at Wati's rate card $61.20
Of which markup over Meta $27.20

Estimated Wati bill per month

$180.20

That is $0.0180 per message all in. The same messages through Twilio would cost $84.00 with no subscription.

Growth allows no extra users or numbers, so those inputs are ignored on Growth. Extra users are $39 a month on Pro and $89 on Business, extra numbers $29 a month. Rates are Wati's US dollar rate card for recipients in the United States. Marketing templates are left out because they do not currently deliver to US numbers.

How much does Wati cost?

For a US business, Wati costs $69 a month on Growth, $149 on Pro and $349 on Business when billed monthly, or $59, $119 and $279 a month when paid a year up front. Messages are charged on top from a separate rate card: a utility or authentication message to a US number costs $0.00612 on Growth and Pro and $0.00544 on Business. Extra users, extra numbers and AI credits are add-ons.

The number most buyers never check is the message rate, because it is not on the plan cards. Meta charges $0.0034 for the same US utility message. Wati's rate card is 80% above that on Growth and Pro and 60% above it on Business. At 10,000 utility messages a month that markup is $27.20 on Pro, and at 100,000 it is $272, which is more than the Pro subscription itself.

Wati plans and prices in US dollars

Wati does not print its dollar prices in the page source. The pricing page loads them from Wati's billing system after it works out which region you are in, which is why copies of the page and some comparison articles show a blank or a different figure. These are the prices returned for a US visitor.

Growth Pro Business
Billed monthly $69 a month $149 a month $349 a month
Billed annually $708 a year ($59) $1,428 a year ($119) $3,348 a year ($279)
Users included 3, no additional users 5, extras $39 a month 5, extras $89 a month
Broadcasts 15,000 a month Unlimited Unlimited, with volume discounts
Message rate, US utility $0.00612 $0.00612 $0.00544
Automation triggers 1,000 a month 2,000 a month 5,000 a month
AI Co-pilot credits 250 a month 500 a month 1,500 a month
API calls and webhooks 10,000 calls, no webhooks 200,000 calls, limited webhooks 20 million calls, extensive webhooks
Integrations 2 commerce or CRM 5, including HubSpot Unlimited, including Salesforce
Sending speed Not stated Not stated 4,000 a minute, 12,000 with the Blitz add-on
Support 24x5 email 24x7 email and chat Priority 24x7, success manager

Two lines in this table change purchase decisions more than the price does. Growth has no webhooks, so any team that needs delivery or reply events pushed into its own systems is really shopping at Pro. And Growth caps the team at three people with no way to buy a fourth seat, so a support desk of four starts at $119 a month, not $59.

Wati pricing per message: what the rate card charges for US numbers

Every Wati plan card says additional charges apply for messages, with a small View Rate Card link. That link opens a PDF, one for Growth and Pro and a separate one for Business, priced in US dollars per message by recipient country. Here is the United States row next to what Meta itself charges.

US message category Meta's rate Wati Growth and Pro Wati Business Markup
Utility, outside the service window $0.0034 $0.00612 $0.00544 80% on Growth and Pro, 60% on Business
Authentication $0.0034 $0.00612 $0.00544 80% on Growth and Pro, 60% on Business
Marketing Does not deliver to US numbers $0.04000 $0.03550 Not reachable for a US audience
Utility inside an open 24 hour window Free Free Free None
Service conversations Free Free Free None on current plans

Why the 20% figure you read elsewhere is wrong for US traffic

Comparison articles commonly say Wati adds about 20% to Meta's price. For a message to a US number, Wati's own rate card is $0.00612 against Meta's $0.0034, a gap of $0.00272 per message. That is 80%. Even the discounted Business rate of $0.00544 is 60% above Meta. The percentage looks large because Meta's US utility rate is so low, which is exactly the traffic US businesses send most.

The marketing line is a price for something you cannot send

The rate card lists US marketing messages at $0.04 on Growth and Pro. Meta paused marketing template delivery to US phone numbers on April 1, 2025, and the pause still stands, so for a US customer list that row is academic. It matters only if you also market to customers abroad, and it is the reason a US calculator should be built on utility and authentication traffic.

Meta's $0.0034 US utility and authentication figures are the pass-through rates published on Twilio's WhatsApp pricing page, re-verified September 6, 2026. For how Meta's categories turn into a provider invoice in general, see our WhatsApp Business API pricing breakdown.

The annual discount is smaller in dollars, and the add-ons add up

Wati's pricing page advertises savings of up to 25% on annual billing and up to 10% on quarterly. In US dollars the arithmetic is less generous. Growth costs $708 a year against $828 for twelve monthly payments, a saving of 14.5%. Pro and Business both save about 20%. Quarterly billing saves nothing at all: $207, $447 and $1,047 a quarter are exactly three months at the monthly price. The 25% and 10% figures line up with Wati's rupee price list, where Growth drops from 2,999 rupees a month to 2,199 on annual billing.

Seats are the add-on most likely to change which plan you need. Some copies of Wati's page, and several comparison articles, list extra users at $24 and $69 a month. Those are placeholder figures in the page code. The prices Wati's billing system actually returns for a US dollar account are $39 a month per extra user on Pro and $89 on Business.

Add-on Price in US dollars When you hit it
Extra user $39 on Pro, $89 on Business A sixth person needs the inbox. Not available on Growth
Extra WhatsApp number $29 a month per number Separate numbers for sales, support or regions
AI Co-pilot credits $30 per 1,000 credits You use more than the 250, 500 or 1,500 included
Shopify integration $4.99 a month Order and abandoned cart templates from a Shopify store
Custom subdomain $50 one time Branding the workspace URL. Free on Business
Onboarding, technical account management Custom quote Onboarding support is included with annual plans

A trap for anyone still on a legacy Wati plan

Wati's help center says service messages remain free on its current plans. On the legacy Standard, Professional and Enterprise plans, it says only the first 1,000 service messages each month are free and additional ones are charged. Meta has not charged anyone for service conversations since November 1, 2024. If your account predates Wati's current Growth, Pro and Business lineup, check your invoice for service message charges before you renew. Meta has also said service messages will become chargeable from October 1, 2026, but as of September 10, 2026 no service rate card appears in Meta's pricing documentation. We track that on our WhatsApp service messages page.

Wati vs Twilio vs 360dialog at US volumes

These three are not the same product, so compare them on the part they share: the cost of getting a US utility message delivered. Wati bundles an inbox and chatbot builder into the subscription, Twilio is a pay as you go API, and 360dialog hosts the API for a flat fee per number.

Provider Monthly fee Cost per US utility message 10,000 messages 100,000 messages
Wati Growth, annual $59 $0.00612 $120.20 $671.00
Wati Pro, annual $119 $0.00612 $180.20 $731.00
Twilio None $0.0084 ($0.0034 Meta plus $0.005) $84.00 $840.00
360dialog Regular €49 per number $0.0034, states no markup about $91 about $397

360dialog is converted at 1.17 dollars per euro, so its dollar cost moves with the exchange rate. The crossover that matters for a Wati buyer: Twilio charges $0.00228 more per US utility message than Wati Growth, so Growth's $59 annual fee is covered at about 25,900 messages a month, or about 30,300 on monthly billing. Below that, Twilio's missing subscription wins. Above it, Wati Growth is cheaper per delivered message than Twilio, and still more expensive than 360dialog at every volume. Our guide to the cheapest WhatsApp API provider works through the same crossover logic for more vendors, and the 360dialog pricing breakdown covers its per number plans in detail.

Is Wati worth the price for your business?

Wati's pricing makes sense when

  • A small team answers customers in a shared inbox and wants a no-code chatbot builder in the same subscription
  • Your message volume is modest, so the 80% markup is a few dollars rather than a line that rivals the plan fee
  • You need the Shopify order and cart templates and would rather not build them on a raw API
  • You want a fixed dollar invoice rather than a euro subscription that floats with the exchange rate

Look at other options when

  • You send tens of thousands of utility messages a month, where the per message markup overtakes the subscription
  • Four or more people need access, which rules out Growth and pushes every seat past five to $39 or $89 a month
  • Your systems need webhooks, which Growth does not include
  • The job is sending bulk template campaigns to a list, not staffing an inbox, so most of the subscription pays for tools you will not open

That last case is the most common reason a Wati renewal feels expensive. Wati is priced as a conversation workspace: seats, chatbot sessions, automation triggers and AI credits. A business that mainly uploads a contact list, merges names into an approved template and sends a campaign is paying for the workspace and then paying a markup on every message on top of it. WaBulkSend is built for that job: bulk campaigns from your contact lists using approved WhatsApp templates, on plans that start at $29 a month, or $14.50 a month billed yearly. If you are weighing a move, our Wati alternative comparison lays out the trade-offs side by side.

Questions people ask about Wati pricing

How much does Wati cost per month?

In US dollars Wati costs $69, $149 or $349 a month on Growth, Pro and Business with monthly billing, or $59, $119 and $279 a month on annual billing, paid as $708, $1,428 or $3,348 a year. Messages, extra users, extra numbers and AI credits come on top, so the monthly invoice is almost always higher than the plan price.

What is Wati's cost per message?

For recipients in the United States, Wati's rate card lists $0.00612 for utility and authentication messages on Growth and Pro and $0.00544 on Business. Marketing is listed at $0.04000 and $0.03550 but does not currently deliver to US numbers. Service conversations are free, and utility messages sent inside an open 24 hour service window are free.

Does Wati charge a markup on WhatsApp messages?

Yes. Meta's fee for a US utility or authentication message is $0.0034, and Wati charges $0.00612 on Growth and Pro, which is 80% above Meta, and $0.00544 on Business, which is 60% above. Articles quoting a markup of about 20% understate it for US traffic. The markup is built into the rate card rather than shown as a separate line.

Is Wati cheaper than Twilio?

Per message, yes: Twilio adds $0.005 to Meta's $0.0034, so a US utility message costs $0.0084 against $0.00612 on Wati Growth. Wati charges a subscription and Twilio does not, so Growth only comes out cheaper overall above roughly 26,000 US utility messages a month on annual billing, or 30,000 on monthly billing. Twilio also gives you an API, not an inbox.

Does Wati charge for service messages?

Not on its current Growth, Pro and Business plans, where Wati's rate card says service conversations are free. On legacy Standard, Professional and Enterprise plans, Wati's help center says only the first 1,000 service messages a month are free and the rest are charged, even though Meta has charged nothing for service conversations since November 1, 2024.

Can I add users on the Wati Growth plan?

No. Growth includes 3 users and Wati's pricing page states no additional users can be added. A fourth user means moving to Pro, which includes 5 users at $119 a month on annual billing and charges $39 a month for each extra user. Business also includes 5 users and charges $89 a month per extra user.

Is Wati pricing in US dollars?

For US buyers, yes. Wati prices by region: a US visitor gets the dollar price list for its WEST region at $69, $149 and $349 a month. The UAE sees the same dollar prices, UK buyers pay in pounds starting at 59 pounds a month, and India has a separate rupee list with larger billing discounts. Check which region a quote was generated for.

How much do you save with Wati annual billing?

In dollars, 14.5% on Growth ($708 a year against $828) and about 20% on Pro and Business. Quarterly billing saves nothing, since each quarterly price is exactly three monthly payments. The up to 25% saving shown on Wati's pricing page matches its rupee price list rather than the dollar one US buyers pay.

Is the Wati Business plan worth it?

On message savings alone, only at very high volume. Business saves $0.00068 on each US utility message compared with Pro and costs $200 more a month on monthly billing, so the discount covers the upgrade at about 294,000 US utility messages a month, or about 235,000 on annual billing. Below that, buy it for sending speed, multiple numbers, Salesforce or a success manager.

What are the best alternatives to Wati?

That depends on which part of the bill is the problem. For the per message markup, 360dialog states no markup on Meta fees and charges per number. For a subscription that is too large at low volume, Twilio has no monthly fee. For sending bulk template campaigns to a contact list rather than running an inbox, a campaign focused platform fits the job more closely.

Send the campaign without paying for an inbox you do not use

If your WhatsApp work is bulk template campaigns to your own contact lists, start with a campaign tool instead of a conversation workspace. Plans start at $29 a month, or $14.50 a month billed yearly.
